We continue to make changes to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/WCAG20\/\"><strong>Web Content Accessibility Guidelines<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;(WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Wherever possible, VOX will aim to adhere to level AA of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines, which states that sites should be:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Perceivable \u2013 Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Operable \u2013 User interface components and navigation must be operable.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Understandable \u2013 Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Robust \u2013 Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In order to ensure accessibility we also:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Have disability centered internal policies that take accessibility into account.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Build all of our programs with universal design at the forefront.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provide our staff, volunteers and community with continual accessibility training.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provide audience, actor and volunteer accommodations for all of our programming and publicize those offerings on our Know Before You Go page, PR and socials.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maintain the highest access standards and improve our access with stakeholder feedback on an ongoing basis.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>&nbsp;Our ADA Coordinator is Sam Gould and she can be reached at&nbsp;<\/strong><a href=\"mailto:sam@thinkoutsidethevox.org\"><strong>sam@thinkoutsidethevox.org<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Technologies relied upon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HTML<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>WAI-ARIA<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>CSS<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>JavaScript<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of the VOX website.
