Think Outside the Vox is assisting Open Door Theater to once again bring Justice and Joy to the stage for this year’s production of THE PROM: School Edition. Vox is hosting a DASL seminar for its cohort in conjunction with this performance and training new Audio Describers. Through Vox networks, ODT has partnered with Northeastern University ASL Interpreting Education students to offer practicum opportunity for their program. We are also testing new groundbreaking AD/ALD equipment to integrate the AD and show audio feed in one headset with mix and volume control.

Two weekends (March 21-23 and 28-30) will have performances with ASL interpretation, open captions, assistive listening devices and sensory-friendly/relaxed formats. The second weekend (March 28-30) will be all Audio Described as well. Tickets on sale now!

Think Outside the Vox has kicked off its third Culturally Competent AD Cohort. Led by Thomas Reid and Cheryl Green, we invited 15 new members, majority of whom are Blind/Low-vision, BIPOC and Massachusetts-based. We had over 50 folks sign up from all over the country and we appreciate the enthusiasm – VOX is excited and encouraged to build more capacity for future workshops.
