Happy Deaf Awareness Month!

VOX is thrilled to announce its second DASL Training! This is a free multi-part workshop for experienced AND emerging Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing creatives who want to explore and expand their ASL dramaturgy and leadership in the performing arts. The program includes four virtual classes (Wednesdays in October) and multiple opportunities to observe DASL rehearsals and ASL-interpreted performances. Trainers Kristin Johnson and Rachel Berman-Kobylarz share more about the training in their ASL announcement.

We have 10 spots open for our Fall 2026 DASL Cohort –

An update on the ASL Glossary project:

In mid-September, VOX will travel to D.C. to work with acclaimed Deaf artist and DASL Monique “MoMo” Holt to film the ASL Glossary! This is a theater-specific ASL video glossary of backstage and front-of-house terminology that will be publicly available. This is a joint project made possible by the support of Open Door Theater and grant funding from the NEA.
